The NOAA seems to think Global Warming is undeniable, what with this summers extreme heat in the Northeast I can't say I disagree.

"The temperature increase of one degree Fahrenheit over the past 50 years may seem small, but it has already altered our planet," said Deke Arndt, co-editor of the report and chief of the Climate Monitoring Branch of the data center.

"Glaciers and sea ice are melting, heavy rainfall is intensifying and heat waves are more common," he says.

Last month was the warmest June on record and this year has had the warmest average temperature for January-June since record keeping began, NOAA reported last week.

Time to invest in that beach front property in the mid west eh?

I don't know about your area, but in mine you're probably more accurate than the weather forecasters any given day of the week.

We've had a couple really aggressive storms come through the last couple weeks and I've had occasion to use this tool to track the storms so I know when to unplug my pricey equipment. You'll find it useful too.

Whats a cool way to view the radar in your area? Pull it up in a layer in Google Earth.

What with everyone thinking about the warm weather and spring just around the corner, thought I'd pass this around. Just enter your zip and you can see when the last of the really cold weather happens in your area.

This easy report from my area

Almost certainly, however, you will receive frost from October 22 through April 11.

You are almost guaranteed that you will not get frost from May 10 through September 26.

If you haven't heard already we've got 6 more weeks of winter coming. I suppose it's par for the course as it's not officially spring for at least that long.

Oh well, grab a hot coffee and settle in for a little bit more winter.

I don't trust the source so much but the issue raised is valid. The last time we had a little ice age was 1850, and seeing they occur normally and somewhat regularly it sure is possible.

This of course will counteract and confound the Global Warming crowd. And you might just want to invest in Ski Resorts and Ice farms.

Oh yeah, and acorns.

Just when you thought it was safe to live near the ocean....

A new tropical storm and a tropical depression formed early Tuesday in the Caribbean Sea, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said in its 11 a.m. EDT (1500 GMT) report.

If they do grow into hurricanes you can track 'em HERE

It's a busy Hurricane season this year - and as is all too common the projected track takes it right into the gulf.

I did find this real nifty Hurricane Tracker you all might find useful if you want to keep an eye on this one.
