small caveat to that is being Adobe the silent updater will probably install the ask toolbar at every update

According to Adobe security chief Brad Arkin, the tool be configurable for end users that want more control of the patching process.

“They can download and then give them the choice to install it, or it can just notify – or you can turn it off completely. And so, by giving users these options, you know, people who have a well managed environment and they’ve got good reason for why they don’t want to install an update.

Oh god this one had me giggling for a good half hour - and even the positive spin is woefully sad.

Firefox and Chrome have more support for emerging standards like HTML5 and CSS3, but Internet Explorer 8 invested heavily in having world-class, consistent support for the entire CSS2.1 specification.

Grin, like those guys have lasers and cool stuff but we're proudly supporting wooden sticks really really solidly.

Sure, Firefox may win in sheer number of add-ons, but many of the customizations you'd want to download for Firefox are already a part of Internet Explorer 8 – right out of the box.

Ha! all the greatest plugins like .... um, well - like search? Isn't that a plugin?
