Sometimes you need a little more help on a recipe - and this site sure does that. I don't know if you need this kinda info on every recipe? Still, it's kinda cool and back in the day when I had a cooking website this is the way I'd do it.

St. Patty's day is coming up next week - here are some recipes you can make for the occasion.
( Don't forget the Guinness to go along with dinnner ! )

Holy mother of food - if I was anywhere near here... I gotta try this!
- by RobDavid Burke's Primehouse Executive Chef Rick Gresh takes bacon love to a whole new level with the creation of his Bacon Candle. It’s made with rendered bacon fat and stands at 2 inches tall with a vegetable base wick, but the kicker is how you actually use the candle.
The candle emits a delicious-smelling bacon aroma and is poured over dry aged beef, scallop sashimi, or any other delectable treat worthy enough to be covered in bacon (so in other words, almost everything).

Know what really made me smile in this article ? The Hubba Bubba Bubblegum Soda... Gods I miss that. I do remember though that it made a lousy accompaniment to Tequila
Ok, this is almost a good idea - but not particularly link worthy, except for the bat poo crazy lady screaming about things like YOU CAN MAKE PUDDING!
I hear it's available on the web for around 15 bucks.
- by RobOh sure laugh, but if you loaded this puppy up with Bacon - that's food FTW.

Well, if you had high hopes for this one, you're gonna be just as disappointed as when you tried the angry burger. (or just as angry)
- by RobA.1. Steakhouse XT
Grade: C+
Burger connoisseurs will be disappointed with this behemoth patty. The texture of the meat resembled meatloaf (and not in a good way) -- it was over-handled, overly compacted and flavorless. Crunchy (not soggy) fried onions sort of made up for the bland beef. The A.1. Steak Sauce mixed with mayo was way too sweet for our testers, however. The bottom of the cornmeal-dusted bun really isn't up to the task of supporting the weight of the patty and quickly becomes an obsolete, mushy mess.

Oh mother of all things holy! Bacon Cheese- YES.
- by RobLink: http://www.slashfood.com/2010/02/19/ignore-use-by-dates/
Think those dates are the end all and final authority on when the cheese has gone bad? Well, wrong again three martini lunch breath!
- by RobThe fact is, the "sell by" date that appears on that questionable gallon of milk serves as a guideline for stores on when they should pull products from their shelves -- not when you should indulge in a last sip. Rather than being an indicator of the product's safety span, the date implies when a food's quality -- its taste, aroma and appearance -- would be at peak conditions.
What's even more confusing is the lack of consistency in "open dating" descriptors and regulations on labeling. In addition to "sell by," certain products contain "best if used by (or before)," to indicate peak quality, "use by," to establish a finite don't-ingest-after-this-date or simply the jumble of numbers that is a "closed date," for those long-living shelved goods.

18 ... Wonderful ... Bacon .. Wrapped ... Fooods ah ah ah.
Maybe some you haven't tried?
- by RobI love bacon, and so do you, everyone does. If you don't, you are crazy. You see this? It's me pointing at you, calling you crazy. I love bacon so much, I tried wrapping myself in it in high school. Bacon doesn't hold up well when you are stuffed into a locker, it gets offensively rank. Since then I've stuck to wrapping foods with it. I'm not sure where bacon comes from, but I'm pretty sure it's grown on trees like apples, oranges and french fries. Check out these 18 amazingly delicious foods wrapped in bacon.

I'll start out by saying I had these during the Superbowl and wow! - They taste just like a McDonalds Cheseburger. No kidding. Everyone I gave one to agreed.... it's uncanny!

Here's another one for you candied bacon fans ....
Yes, indeed. This unique appetizer snack is made with cocoa powder, brown sugar, and bacon. It is so simple yet so addictive. You won't really notice a chocolate flavor, more like a smoky richness complemented by the kick of the chipotle chile powder. Keep a stockpile for a quick snack or to amaze your party guests. It really is that good. You will need thick-cut bacon for this recipe.

I've actually had a couple Monster drinks with these tops - and aside from the initial "how the heck do I open this" ... It's actually pretty spiffy.
- by RobLink: http://www.wcbs880.com/pages/6286330.php?
Ok this makes perfect sense - open it for dipping (fries) or open the top for squeezing - (burgers)

I'll miss the old packets tho - when I was a kid we would fold 'em in half - put 'em under our sneakers and step down hard when a person with white shoes walked by.
BLAT! - instant funny.
p.s. don't do this if you can't keep a straight face

This one's slightly different from the last in that you actually start by baking the potatoes....

Looks hella good eh?

Link: http://consumerist.com/2010/01/boars-head-dietz-watson-daniele-salami-recalled-for-salmonella.html
If you have any of these brands of Salami - Throw it out.
Last week, 1.2 million pounds of various cured meats made by Rhode Island's Daniele International but sold under different names were recalled due to possible salmonella poisoning. Labels the affected meats were sold under include Daniele, Dietz & Watson, Black Bear of the Black Forest, and Boar's Head.
On the bright side - phew, at least it wasn't bacon.

(Yeah when I get a bit I'll go and put the millions of bacon posts into this cat)

OMG - I would so totally eat here! (sorry about the ad in the beginning)

How much would you pay for a ham?
The leg of Iberico ham, which costs £1,800 ($2940.82) went on sale at the food hall in the retailer's flagship store in Oxford Street, central London.
The 7kg (15lb) ham leg comes with its own DNA certificate as proof of authenticity.

Taking food to new geek levels of bacony goodness - you cant beat this one.

- by RobTonight I had a moment of inspiration while cooking dinner. I was craving bacon really badly (as everyone does) so I decided to make some bacon wrapped chicken. However, to spice it up a bit, I wanted to do something fun and unique. So I took it to the next level. It was time for some Bacon Chicken Narwhal!
Osh sent in this nostalgic look into the days when sugar was ingredient #1 and a toy was in every box.
As time passed, products fell by the wayside to make room for the latest products and their sugar-blasted flavors and snazzy box art. Maybe some cereals got lost in the shuffle as their assembly lines drawn to close. But that doesn’t mean those cereals are forgotten. Our memories are still fond, at least as fond as they can be while on a sugar high and waxing nostalgic.

After years of catering to parties full of questionably sober people - Dominoes thinks they need to change things up to server a different audience. - And lets face it... those college lads aren't even gonna notice.
"We've created a pizza to reflect what consumers are looking for. We're not talking about a slightly altered version of our previous pizza. It's a completely new pizza reinvented from the crust up, and we are proud of it."
I haven't had Dominoes in years but the word on the street is that the new recipe is really good.
